Where is based
The training
Our training programs are based on the latest literature, follow international protocols, and are conducted by Air Zermatt and Elissocorso HEMS/HSR trained rescuers: Ground support of air rescue in mountainous environments. The training programme smoothly guides the trainee to a higher cognitive and practical level, so that he/she can fully and successfully cope with the ground-based air rescue process.
Who it is aimed at
It is addressed to members of mountaineering clubs, hunting clubs, voluntary rescue teams, organizers of mountain races (land and water), mountain guides, mountain management bodies, ski resorts and anyone interested in specialized training.
1st Day
Training
- The basics of the helicopter (hall).
- Helicopter approach to the field and limitations.
- Long line and hover operations.
- Hazards and behaviour around the helicopter.
- Required actions before the helicopter arrives at the field.
- First aid (scene assessment and safety, injury hagiography, fractures - contusions - dislocations, triangular bandaging, splint application, head - teeth - chest injuries, hypothermia).
2nd Day
Training
- Hazards and behaviour around the helicopter (field).
- Signalling.
- Presentation and practical use of first aid materials (Long line, vacuum mattress etc.).
- Treatment of the injured.
- Demonstration and practice in entry - exit and escorting people to and from the helicopter.
